By default, on the new printers there is not an apparent way to do 2 >1 sided copying. 1-1, 1-2, 2-2 are all options but the only way to get to 2-1 is to go to dup/combine/series at the bottom, hit series, then 2-1.
To add the 2-1 setting to the main screen go to the remote panel operation of the printer or stand in front of it.

- Copy (classic) - most machines use the classic mode but you can confirm if the copy screen look like the picture above
- Function 3/4 - whichever you would like to replace since 1 and 2 are useful
- 2 sided orig - 1 sided
- Okay - confirm change was made on copy screen.
